So it would be a Sexual Misdemeanor in Massachusetts that doesn’t require registration as a SO.
BUT….if the teen moves to another State, that new State COULD determine that the MA sex conviction would be a Registrable offense in THEIR State and make him/her register. THEN if they are place on a SO Registry anywhere they move to even back to MA they’d be an RSO.
This is NOT a solution and ANY State that proposes a misdemeanor criminal solution w/out registration needs to understand that other States will consider it registerable per their criminal code
There should be NO crime (misdemeanor or felony) for consensual Teen Sexting!
It’s times like this that it’s good to be living in a progressive state like Massachusetts, some common sense prevails here, apparently moreso than many other states.
Wait, they’re proposing mental-health/educational assistance instead of throwing the book at someone for making a misstep? There must be a catch, as this makes way too much sense. MA is just full of crazies, dontcha know.

There should be no criminal penalty for any teen sexting pictures of him/herself to another teen. Stop the insanity already.
